Canon has the best image quality and color accuracy. This camera has all of the controls of an SLR but is a lot more portable and compact. I used to have a G3 and it is very similar except the body is smaller in width, it has a larger and brighter LCD and of course the upgrade in megapixels. I love this camera, I wish that the accesories were a little cheaper. You can't go wrong with this camera.
